AstroEdu 2025: Ivorian astronomy presented to the French-speaking world

At the third “Astronomy for education in the French-speaking world” conference, Dr Marc Harris Yao Fortune, astrophysicist and lecturer-researcher at UFHB, presented the development of astronomy in Côte d’Ivoire.

He described AIA’s activities — public stargazing, school clubs, asteroid search campaigns with students and scientific lectures — as well as plans to strengthen research infrastructure. The meeting brought together people from Guinea, Mauritania, Benin, Tunisia, Algeria and beyond.
