Café des Savoirs: “There is no planet B”

On 26 January 2023, AIA was the special guest of the Institut Français de Côte d’Ivoire’s Café des Savoirs. Dr Aziz Diaby presented the association, followed by several speakers.

• Dr Marc Harris Yao: the history of the Universe, and why Earth remains the only known inhabited planet.
• Dr Pancrace Aka: asteroids, between scientific curiosity and collision risk.
• Dr David Baratoux, AIA’s scientific adviser: a habitable planet needs liquid water; Mars has lost most of its atmosphere, so there is no fallback option.
• Ahoua Stéphane, organisation secretary: a “walk through space” with the Stellarium software.
